Well, it is only the 4th of April and I am updating our March happenings. I think I am making progress anyway! hahaha
Before Spring Break, the girls have kept us hopping.
Haley is old enough to be involved with youth group at church, so we are busy each Wednesday serving Lent dinner before the church service. It has been a lot of fun, but it will be nice when it is over.
Haley participated in the CNC league Mass Band concert on the 10th. She played her clarinet with band students from the CNC area schools. She has also started softball games. She will play a double header each Saturday either in Columbus or a neighboring town, for tournament play. She also decided to run track for middle school. She is currently running distance, but will eventually participate in other track events as the season progresses.
Katy has been involved with the elementary school 5th grade honor choir. They are practicing after school to prepare for the Mid America Music Festival coming up the middle of April. Her softball team is still practicing and preparing for their first tournament coming in the end of April. Katy and her friend Victoria wrote lyrics for a school project. Victoria's mom forwarded them to some of her family members and a relative is actually going to put music to it and try to get it cut as a CD (that is what he does for a living)!! The girls have already gotten song writing credit and they are hoping that it blows up into something big time!!!!
Kacey is still dancing and preparing for the May recital. She has also been practicing for softball since we found out that she will be moved up to coach pitch this year. She should have one more year of T-ball, but got moved up. (makes mom very nervous!!!!). She also lost her front tooth. This is the first tooth that left a gapping hole in her smile. The other two that she has lost were replaced immediately by permanent teeth there, waiting on their spot!!
We also had TWO big events happen for us in March. ONE: we adopted another beagle puppy. Brownine is Nellie's half sister. Her personality is completely opposite of Nellie's but they get along so well. and TWO: WE WENT TO FLORIDA FOR SPRING BREAK!!! (not Disney, Florida, but Ft.Walton/Destin/Pensacola Florida!) I will have to post our trip as a separate entry!! We HAD A BLAST!!!
